Does you teen know how to sauté? What if a recipe calls for something to be braised? From soft boiled eggs to knife skills to frying tortilla chips we will learn the techniques so that recipes don’t seem like they are written in another language! As we will be learning techniques there will not be eating every week, if your teen has allergies or food preferences they can easily take the class without eating anything, The skills will be helpful no matter the food as long as being in the same room with a food does not cause allergic reactions. There will be small amounts of homework and a little reading required. Attention and listening is important because we will be using knives and the stove/oven.
“This is my invariable advice to people: Learn how to cook- try new recipes, learn from your mistakes, be fearless, and above all have fun!” ~ Julia Child
